Child Safeguarding

At Sekolah Bogor Raya, the safety and wellbeing of every student is a fundamental priority. We are committed to providing a secure, respectful, and nurturing environment that supports students’ academic, social, and emotional development.

As part of this commitment, Sekolah Bogor Raya has established a comprehensive Child Safeguarding Policy to ensure that all students are protected from harm, abuse, and neglect.

Our Responsibility

Sekolah Bogor Raya recognises its institutional responsibility to safeguard all students, regardless of background, culture, or circumstance. Child abuse and neglect are serious violations of a child’s rights and can significantly affect a student’s wellbeing and ability to learn.

All staff are trained to recognise indicators of potential harm or neglect and are required to respond promptly and appropriately to any safeguarding concerns. A dedicated safeguarding team operates at each level of the school to provide guidance and support to staff and students, ensuring concerns are addressed effectively.

Professional and Ethical Obligation

Educators and staff at Sekolah Bogor Raya hold a position of trust and responsibility. Through daily interaction with students, staff are well placed to observe changes in behaviour or signs of distress.

Safeguarding children is both a professional and ethical obligation. Beyond delivering education, we are committed to ensuring that students who may be at risk receive the care, protection, and support they need.

International Standards and Local Compliance

Sekolah Bogor Raya aligns its safeguarding practices with internationally recognised standards, including the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, which affirms every child’s right to protection from harm, abuse, neglect, and exploitation.

As a school operating in Indonesia, we also comply fully with national child protection laws and work in accordance with relevant local regulations and authorities to ensure student safety.

Reporting and Response

All faculty and staff are required to report any concerns relating to a student’s safety or wellbeing. Sekolah Bogor Raya has clear procedures for reporting, documenting, and responding to safeguarding concerns.

All reports are treated seriously and handled with care, confidentiality, and urgency. Where appropriate, the school may involve relevant external agencies, local authorities, or consulates to ensure the safety and protection of the student.

Commitment to a Safe Environment

Our aim is not only to ensure that students are safe, but that they feel safe. Sekolah Bogor Raya is committed to fostering a culture of respect, care, and vigilance, where every child feels supported and protected.

Through strong safeguarding practices and a shared sense of responsibility, we seek to provide an environment in which students can learn, grow, and develop with confidence.
