Community service at Sekolah Bogor Raya is an important part of student life and character development.Introduced in 2012, the Community Service Programme encourages students to grow as compassionate, responsible individuals by engaging meaningfully with the wider community.
As part of their learning journey, students are guided to understand real-world challenges, develop empathy and social awareness, and take responsibility through meaningful action. Through direct engagement with the community, students learn that their contributions — both large and small — can create positive change.
Community service at SBR is designed to be volunteer-based, non-paid, non-graded, and non-punitive. This ensures that participation is driven by genuine care, reflection, and personal growth, rather than obligation or assessment. Community service experiences allow students to apply what they learn in school to real-life contexts, strengthening values such as empathy, collaboration, responsibility, and integrity. These experiences help students develop a deeper understanding of themselves, others, and the world around them.

A small act of generosity from the SBR community helped open a world of possibility for the students of SLB Budi Mulia Blitar, one book at a time.

The SBR Primary Student Council turned Earth Day into action, rallying the community to collect e-waste and keep it out of our environment.

SBR students turned lessons on empathy into real action, personally delivering donations to survivors in Aceh and Sumatera.
